No way to find available networks. In other words, there is no way to turn the wi-fi on or off. I have not restarted the tablet.should this be what I do first.?
Thanks in Advance.Mike In Michigan. Hello, thanks for the response. In Settings>Network & Internet.there is no mention of WiFi, or being able to turn it on and off. Only Airplane Mode (off) Wireless Devices Bluetooth (off) and GNSS (on).
Under Proxy, Automatically detect setting (on), use Setup script (off). Manual proxy set up is off. Under Device Manager > Broadcom 802.11 abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter Properties, the Device status box says the following: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) 3/21/2017. Broadcom 802.11 abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter Properties, the Device status box says the following: This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE.
I recently picked up the Insignia 11.6 and had the same problem. I started to use the device and then the update just kicked in. To make a long story short I lost wifi capabilty. Turns out it was a driver issue for the wifi card. So how do you access the internet without wifi to get the driver? My solution was to hardwire connect to the internet from my router with a cat5 cable to USB adapter.
I had purchased the adapter for a Mac and it worked like a charm. Connected to the internet and then went to the driver update, selected that the driver be found on the internet and bingo, 5 minutes later after a restart the wifi was working with no issues.
